QMA China (Quality Management Committee China)

The Quality Management Committee (QMA) is VDA’s dedicated initiative for advancing quality management in the automotive sector. Its name originates from the German term “Qualitätsmanagement-Ausschuss”, meaning Quality Management Committee.

QMA Germany brings together quality management leaders from all major car manufacturers producing in Germany, as well as a representative selection of automotive suppliers. The committee serves as a strategic forum where members exchange knowledge, coordinate quality strategies, and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of VDA standards. Decisions made in QMA Germany are implemented by the VDA Quality Management Centre (QMC), which organizes project groups, drives initiatives, and publishes the resulting QM standards.

QMA China builds on this initiative to address the Chinese automotive market. Its members include the China subsidiaries of VDA Member OEMs and key tier-1 suppliers, with participation from quality management leaders within these companies. QMA China provides a forum for discussing China-specific quality topics, aligning local practices with global standards, and actively contributing to the development and updating of VDA QMC standards, including standards for digitalization and other emerging trends.
